In the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta a snow-topped mountain range on the Caribbean shore of Colombia, live people who are losing the special connectivity that has been their soul for millenia.
They make up four tribes - the Kogi, the Arahuaco (or Ika), Wiwa and Kankuamos..
Their mountain range has developed through centuries into a vast ecological system sustaining its people through the movement of goods through various subclimates and altitudes.
This system made it neccessary for people to travel from one area of the Sierra to another.
Through this collective movement and work of balancing the energies of the Sierra through making offerings in many sacred places the Tairona believe they are working not only for their own benefit but to help maintain the balance of the entire planet.
